The third movement of the suite, entitled "Oil Well," is based on a mural by Xavier Gonzalez entitled "Drilling for Oil", located in Kilgore in the U.S. Post Office. It bears the following inscription from the Old Testament: "And He made him to suck honey out of the rock, and oil out of the flinty rock." Deut. 32:13.

"Oil Well" describes the process of drilling for oil.
