Roundings: Texas Sounds and Symbols is a television performance documentary based on Samuel Jones' musical composition to commemorate the Amarillo Symphony Orchestra's 75th anniversary. The hour-long program includes a special performance of the work for the television program, illustrated with both historical and original footage from the region and an interview with the composer. KACV-TV, the Amarillo Symphony and Samuel Jones previously worked together in 1992 on "And There Will Be Sounds," a documentary on the composer's third symphony based on the Palo Duro Canyon. |
