Topic: Italian POW Camp at Hereford During WWII: Revisited
Date: November 6, 2007 (Tuesday)
Time: 12:10 p.m. to 12:50 p.m.
Place: West Texas A&M University, Cornette Library, 1st floor, Lecture Room
Joe Rogers, a WTAMU graduate and chairman of the social studies
department at Hereford High School, will present the program about 3,000
Italians housed in a POW camp from 1942-1946. He will use photographs
and artifacts to tell the story of the camp and its lasting impression
on Castro and Deaf Smith counties.

The posters in this exhibit were chosen from among the over 100 World War II era posters in the Government Documents collection at Cornette Library. The posters were obtained between 1942 and 1945 through the Federal Depository Library Program.
The public is welcome to view these posters Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. They are kept in a special area in the Government Documents department on the second floor of the Cornette Library on the WTAMU campus. Please call 651-2204 for more information.
