Panhandle Plains Historical Museum
No Ordinary Lives: on view October 5, 2007 – May 31, 2008
This first museum-wide exhibit explores every facet of the World War II
experience on the Panhandle-Plains. From uniforms and firearms to
concentration camps and women working at Pantex, the exhibit demonstrates
how events on the home front and the battle front affected every life. For
more information, please contact the Museum at (806) 651-2244.
The posters in this exhibit were chosen from among the over 100 World War II era posters in the Government Documents collection at Cornette Library. The posters were obtained between 1942 and 1945 through the Federal Depository Library Program.
The public is welcome to view these posters Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. They are kept in a special area in the Government Documents department on the second floor of the Cornette Library on the WTAMU campus. Please call 651-2204 for more information.
