Premiere Event, September 19 - Childers Place, Amarillo, Texas
With support from BWXT Pantex, KACV hosted a Premiere Event on September 23rd, 2007 at Childers Place in Amarillo. Approximately 200 project supporters, story collection partners, interviewees, Veterans and others were on hand to view preview clips of Ken Burns' production, THE WAR, explore the project's web site, and preview KACV on-air production pieces about Texas Panhandle residents and their WWII experiences.
